Learning to read clearly to an audience with expression.

We have been learning to read clearly to an audience. I found it exciting to read this poem because I hadn't read it before. I like reading to an audience because it's fun. My next step with reading to an audience is to practice the words that I don't know so that I don't make mistakes.

Learning to write a Bio Poem.

We have been reading bio poems and practising writing our own. I found this activity easy because I wasn't writing all the words. I am proud of not needing a dictionary to find any words. I used my mum to help me.

I have been learning to play Hot Cross Buns. I like playing the recorder because I like learning to play new notes. I would like to learn to play E.

Learning to recognise 2D and 3D shapes.

Learning to use describing words.

I have been using describing words to write a diamante poem.
I found it tricky to find some of the words. I enjoyed publishing my poem using the template.
My next step is to have more verbs in my writing.

Learning to recognise language features.

I have been learning to look for synonyms and similes. I found it tricky to find a simile. I enjoyed finding an antonym. My next step is to practice more. 

Learning to summarise by skimming and scanning.

Sam and the bus driver are the characters. Sam wanted the chickens. But Sam did not get them because he got the skeleton. So Sam went on the bus. Then a lady made Sam a jumper for the skeleton. 

My picture shows the bus and the skeleton in the front of it because the dog was biting the skeletons leg and the bus driver came down the bus and took the skeleton to the front of the bus and then when the bus stopped at Sam's house the bus driver gave the skeleton to Sam. 

I found this activity quite easy because I can remember the stories really well.

Learning to add tens.

I have been using mathletics to help me add bigger numbers.

 I added the threes together and that made sixty and then seven plus two is nine and once you put the nine and the six together it's 69. 

I love mathletics because it is lots of fun and it has lots of other activities on it.
